**** THIS LAYOUT REQUIRES MFMEv.19 OR LATER IN ORDER TO RUN. ****

August 2019
Welcome to my first ever MPU2 layout. This game was originally released back in 1981, and was extremely popular at the time. In fact this was probably one of Barcrests best ever machines.
I was still at school when this was in our local arcade back in St.Austell, Cornwall. One of the reasons I was never a fat kid, was because I used to lose all my dinner money in this F%#K#!!

ABOUT THIS LAYOUT/AKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The artwork for Hi-Lights has been redrawn entirely from scratch, based on a few old pictures sent to me by Pete W (fruitemu.co.uk), and took over 50 hours to produce.
The roms (posted by Pete W) were dumped by Red Rose Leisure.
The fruit symbols used to recreate the reels and win panels, were provided by Launton (fruitemu.co.uk).
Coin sounds were provided by Richy 1976 (fruit-emu.com).
.... so a massive thanks to all of them.

Another thanks goes to chris217's Youtube channel, for hosting a great Hi-Lights video, which provided the only way for me to work out the reel order, and other usefull details like colours and lamps.

And finally a HUGE thanks goes to Wizard, for providing and supporting the platform (MFME)(desertislandfruits.com), on which we all enjoy these amazing old fruities!

Now get playing! and have many hours of enjoyment out of this iconic Barcrest game.

Have fun guys...Andy Butler (AKA Frig/Amusements)
